I studied Cognitive Science B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Osnabrück University. My doctoral project is about building a DFT model of visual analogy making. From the embodied cognition perspective, making analogies is crucial to operating on abstract concepts further away from the sensorimotor surface. By seeing the similarity between relations in more sensorimotor grounded concepts and relations between abstract concepts, cognitive operations that are available for grounded concepts can be extended to more abstract concepts as well.
